Denise Marie Barth, 54, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010, the day of her favorite event, The Indianapolis 500. She was born in Beech Grove, IN on March 24, 1956, the daughter of Darlene (Motley) Barth and George Michael Barth, Jr. She is survived by her father, Michael Barth, two sisters, Teresa (Joe) Barth Fahrbach, Linda (Rod) Barth Morgan; brother, Michael (Kate) Barth III; six nieces and nephews, Michael, Anne, Ben, Claire, Grace, Lorna; companion, John Scherer; and three dogs.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Harry W. Moore Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 3. Donations may be made in memory of Denise to the Methodist Hospital Task Core, 1800 N. Captial Ave, Noyes Pavilion-6th Floor, PO Box 7168, Indianapolis, IN 46207.
Denise was active at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as a track observer. She was a member of EWI of Indianapolis and Methodist Hospital Task Core.
