Mr. Charles Howard Littrell, 50, formerly of Columbus, Indiana, passed away on January 15, 2010 at his home in Indianapolis surrounded by his family.
Charlie, also known as Sonny, was born in Columbus in 1959 to William and Gladys Littrell.
After graduating from Ball State he enlisted in the US Army. After officer's training he earned the rank of Captain.
Upon his honorable discharge, he worked for Cummins Engine Company for many years.
Sonny loved the beauty of the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his daughter Caroline and son Joshua; his parents, sisters Donna Littrell and Wanda Littrell Aronstam; former spouse/wife Rita; partner Christina Carpenter; and nephews Alec and Jacob Aronstam.
Vistation will be held at Harry W. Moore Funeral Care on Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. with service to follow at 4 p.m. He will be laid to rest with military honors
FISHERMAN'S PRAYER
God grant that I may live to fish
until my dying day,
and when it comes to my last cast
I then must humbly pray;
When in the Lord's safe landing net
I'm peacefully asleep.
That in His mercy, I be judged
good enough to keep
